Source: 2 killed, 2 hurt at gas burst in Leningrad Reg oil depot

MOSCOW, May 25 (PRIME) -- A burst of gas and air mixture at an oil storage depot in the city of Kirishi in Russia’s Leningrad Region killed two people and injured two other people, a source in emergency authorities of the region told PRIME on Thursday.

“A burst of gas and air mixture happened during gas-welding operations. The area of fire amounted to 10 square meters, but the fire has already been put out. Two people were killed, and two more were injured,” the source said.

Other details of the accident are unclear, the person said.
